Camp Clearing

LightningClan's camp is surrounded by brambles and a few trees, and to those who don't know the territory well it is almost impossible to enter without being scratched badly by the thorns (and usually yowling in the process).

JaggedLeaf padded into the clearing. He had a plump vole in his mouth and his eyes were fixed on the Fresh-Kill pile. Setting it down, he padded to the far right of the camp and sat down with a sigh. Glancing over to Yewkit and the others, he smiled slightly. Flicking his tail contently, he began to sharpen his claws on the dirt ground that seemed to be half covered in snow, eager to go on another hunting trip later that evening. The patrols were pretty busy around leafbare; the warriors had to keep the scent being washed away by the snow on the very few trees left around Lightningclan, for it was just about the main priority. Without their scent on the borderline, rouges and loners can venture with ease.

OOC: Sorry it's taking me so long to respond guys XD

IC:"Great" Larksong purred and trotted out of camp her tail high.

OOC: Oh, it's fine, Cat. x3

IC: The ginger kitten noticed Jaggedleaf pad in with his vole, and then Larksong exit the camp. Slightly bored, she began pawing at the fallen snow, and soon she was playing happily in the fluffy, cold substance. She buried herself in it several times, popping out occasionally and showering the snow on the unlucky cats who happened to be nearby at the time.

ThunderClaw walked out of camp after Larksong to the hunting grounds, hoping his apprentice was not far behind him.

Dustypaw followed behind his new mentor, Larksong. He wasn't sure if he was training right now, but he sure would like to start, and his ears were perked forward in anxious excitement. "Larksong!" he cried, running forward to catch up with his mentor, "can we start training now?"

Yewkit watched Dustypaw and his mentor leave the camp, wishing she'd become an apprentice, so she could explore the territory. She frowned slightly and pawed at the snow.

"Hello YewKit." SnowPetal smiled, trotting over.

SparkSong padded into the clearing out of the warriors den. She felt to under her thick black coat in the heat of the sun. She reached down to lick her chest and gazed across the clearing in a content mood.

JeaggedLeaf glanced over to SparkSong and smiled. "Hello." He said to her.

She looked up. "Hello, Jaggedleaf. I think the fresh kill pile needs something more. Should we ask Quiverstar If we should go hunting?" She asked half-heatedly.

He glanced around. "Sure." Standing up, he shook his pelt and padded over to her.

"Hmmm." She gazed around the clearing. "Do you know where Quiverstar is?"

He turned and looked around "umm, not really. I was actually hoping you would know." While talking, this is the face he made: ^^''

"Oh.. Er.." The young black she cat shrugged her shoulders.

Yewkit smiled up at her mother, Snowpetal and squeaked, "Hello!" She curled up nearby the nursery, cold from both the snow and the slight wind.

"Do you know where Larksong is?" she asked.

He thought. "Oh! I heard some talk that QuiverStar and Larksong went hunting." He said.

"Oh. Then maybe we should just go anyway. I'm sure they're okay with it."

Okay. I guess it's fine.

OOC: Continue in QuiverStar and LarkSong's hinting trip? I'll post first if you're okay with it.

OOC: Sure that's fine. :3

IC: "Where would you like to hunt?" she asked. I don't have a preference."

"Hmmm..." He hummed deep in his throat. "There is a nice patch of land somewhere near there... I'm not sure you know where it is. Mind if I guide you?"

Yewkit shivered as she stood in the nursery's entrance, her olive green eyes wide. She watched the other cats in the camp, and then looked up into the sky, wishing she could leave the camp and explore LightningClan territory and beyond.

"Sure. Where is it?" She stood on her legs and took a big long stretch.

OOC: Would someone please reply to the nursery topic? >.<

IC: The kitten wandered around the camp aimlessly, looking for something to look at that wasn't boring thorny barrier.

"Just south of this place. Let's go." He started towards the grounds, eager to begin hunting. It hasn't been long since he's hunted, but he loved the feeling of the leaping, everything. It made him feel great.
