StreamClan Nursery

A comfy nest with lots of room for kits to run around in and enjoy. A small stream runs through near the side, providing a close water source for queens and their kits.

Downyfeather was lying in one of the nests along with her two kits. She yawned quietly, as she had just woken up.

(Sorry if that first sentence sounded like I was g-modding...? xP)

(Ack sorry for not replying sooner... Nah, I don't think it's god-modding.)

Magpiekit stretched luxuriously, a soft purr rumbling in her tiny throat. She yawned, mimicking her mother, and jumped anxiously to her paws. Swishing her tail impatiently, Magpiekit nudged her sister awake and stepped out from the nest, eager to begin the day.
Fledglingkit mumbled something unintelligible at the touch of her sister and buried herself deeper into the nest.

Downy blinked at the two, chuckling under her breath. "Magpie, let your sister sleep a bit longer." she meowed, looking up as the pale sky slowly became a more distinctive blue. Twitching her whiskers, she looked back down to her kits.

The kit twitched her whiskers, disappointed. "Okay," Magpiekit meowed to Downyfeather, sitting down just outside the nest.
Fledglingkit stirred again and blinked slowly awake.

She purrs quietly, looking down at Fledgeling. Downy then looked towards Magpie, blinking.

Fledglingkit stretched, sinking her little claws into the bedding, and stepped out of the nest. Her eyes were clouded still with cute sleepiness, but she swished her tail and looked around, ready to get the day going.
Magpiekit looked up at Downyfeather with happy eyes. "Can we play now?"

She smiled, "Alright, as long as your sister is fine with it." Downy nodded towards Magpie.

(Ack, sorry for lateness. >_< I keep forgetting about this.)

"Yes!" chirped Magpiekit, her tail erect and sticking up straight with anticipation in the air. "Can we play chase?"
Fledglingkit nodded at the suggestion.

(Lol, no biggie. x3)

Downy smiled as she watched her kits choose a game, her whiskers twitching.

The two kits darted around the nursery, tripping over their own paws as they played.

She chuckled lightly, sitting up. Bending her head down, Downyfeather groomed herself quickly before resting her eyes back on her kits.

Magpiekit suddenly stumbled, and fell face-down in the dirt. She let out a cry, more out of the shock of the fall than any actual pain. Fledglingkit skidded to a halt and stood uncertainly near her fallen sister.

(It was going nowhere. .3.)

(xD It was just very... slow, I suppose. :P)

Downyfeather's ears perked up, and she bolted to her kit's side. Lifting her up, she brushed dirt off of Magpiekit's face gently. "Are you alright, sweetie?!" she asked, eyes widened nervously.

Magpiekit whimpered softly. "Y-Yes," she meowed with a distant nod. "I think so.." Her eyes crossed then refocused.

She sighed in relief, bringing her two kits close. "Good..." Downyfeather nodded slowly, then brushed some of the remaining dirt off of Magpie's head.

Still trembling softly, Magpiekit let her mother dust her off without complaint or struggle. Now that the excitement was over, Fledglingkit sat beside them, bored.

Downyfeather licked Magpie's head once more before slightly relaxing. As her heartbeat began to return to its normal tempo, her yellow eyes flickered nervously from one of her kits to the other, as if they were going to somehow fall.

Salixkit strolled into the nursery, letting loose a huge yawn. Plopping down on her haunches, she blinked, looking around in search of entertainment. Salix's eyes narrowed when she saw Downy's expression, but she sniffed and looked away.

Downyfeather looked towards Salixkit, "Hello, Salixkit. How are you doing?" she smiled softly.

She nods, "That's good," Downyfeather blinked at her kits, then to Salixkit. Perhaps they could become friends, she thinks thoughtfully.
