BoulderClan Border

This is the rocky Forest territory of BoulderClan. The borderline is somewhere in the leaves, where only clan cats cat venture.

Kotone strolled luxuriously across the border, not a worry in the world. The breeze was quite pleasant here- it's gentle gusts nipping at Kotone's fluffy fur. She leaped onto a tall rock easily, and stretched, letting loose a huge yawn, her eyes closing. She settled and laid down, and blinked lazily as a bird fluttered down onto the ground, mere inches away from Kotone, pecked at the ground, then noisily shot back into the sky.

Nearby, Copperear was doing the daily 5:00 patrol, rubbing his pelt on the trees and sniffing the ground. He suddenly came to a stop. "Loner. Grrrrr..." He sniffed the air to where the scent of Kotone drifted, and when he came to the rock she was sitting upon, growled fiercely. "What are you doing in BoulderClan Territory, Loner?" He leaped up the rock and growled at her, unsheathing his claws. "Get out of here, now!" He just wanted her gone; defend the territory with his life, that is all that was in his mind at the moment.

He growled and nipped a scratch on her leg, baring his teeth. "Get off of this territory!" His eyes burned with rage, his big ears flattened to his head, tail swishing crazily.

Kotone rolled her eyes and scooted over. "There's room for two, you know." she sighed, her tail flicking. She eyed him and said, "Why can't I rest on this rock, clan cat?"

He head-butted her, pushing her off the rock. He huffed on the rock, his claws shining in the afternoon sunlight. He jumped down from the ruck and scratched her side. "Do I need to say it again?"

Kotone jumped to her paws defensively, and dodged when he tried raking her side with his claws. "Why won't you answer my question?" Kotone challenged, shifting her position so that she was ready to dodge a second attack.

He growled and flicked his tail. "Why won't you shut up and get out of here?" He sprinted behind her and bit her tail. "Don't be mouse-brained, Loner!"

Kotone winced slightly as he bit her fluffy ball of tail, but she whipped around and scowled. She started to back up slowly, her ears twitching. "Woah there, tiger." she muttered, her eyes narrowing.

He came forward while she backed up, growling and flexing his claws. "Are you done yet?" He growls. He was obviously getting annoyed. A quick walk out of the territory and he would leave her alone! His eyes glare at her, his face hardening quickly.

Kotone's expression morphed into something between disgust, pity, and sympathy . "Oh my." she said under her breath. Obviously these cats didn't know... Kotone backed up a bit more, but now it wasn't because she was scared of being attacked.

Copperear continued to walk forward, focusing on her paws. "I see you've got a few faces, eh?" He watched her expression changed, thinking up a strategy in his mind. Finally, he pounced, flying forward, claws unsheathed! "I've got you now..." He whispered.

Kotone scowled and threw herself aside as he pounced at her, but she was a second late, so a fairly deep scratch was left in her back leg. She growled testily, then shifted her position again, so that if he lunged at her, she could dodge more easily.

Copperear cursed when he missed her, but still satisfied she got something. He saw the side of the mountain below him, stretching out. "Yeoowwww!!!!" He started tumbling down the cliff, rocks and pebbles following him down! his pelt became covered in dust, and a cracking noise sounded. He had broken his leg! He reached the ground, plopping on it. he lay there, unconscious. He was bleeding heavily, and a deep scratch could be seen down his back.

Kotone narrowed her eyes and bounced to the wounded cat's side. "Karma's only a b**** if you are." she recited, remembering what her mother used to say. After cursing under her breath, the loner grabbed the clan cat's scruff and began slowly dragging him towards the border, to a temporary den she had made, where she had a fair amount of herbs.

Copperear padded into the grounds, flexing his claws on the rocky ground. Instantly, he spotted a squirrel. It saw him and started to dash up an oak tree. Copperear took sight of it and ran up quickly after it, his legs bouncing off the tree and his muscles tense. He caught the squirrel by the neck and jumped down the tree, letting the muscles in his shoulders flow but not the ones in his legs. They were still tight. He touched down onto the ground and the squirrel was still squirming annoyingly in his jaws. Pressing down hard, he snapped it's neck and looked back up at CharredStar.

Charredstar was a ways behind Copperear as they approached the border; the black tom hadn't seen the whole chase, but he did catch a glimpse of Copperear's catch. "Nice one! Squirrels can be so difficult to catch- it's a good thing BoulderClan cats aren't afraid we'll hurt our paws on stones; or we'd have to be too careful to make such a speedy catch. Good work." He'd set his own catch, a hawk from the Northern Boundary of BoulderClan's territory, down in front of him before he spoke. He dipped his head to Copperear, pleased with his catch. "It seems the prey isn't so scarce here, you came upon that squirrel rather quickly. We should hunt here for a little while longer, there is still daylight to burn." The tom spoke clearly to Copperear, and waited for his response.

Coppperear nodded. "Understood. It's clear to see there is many squirrels and thrust around here." He set down his prey near a tree trunk, content with it, he looked back at CharredStar before swiveling his head around, his eyes scanning the treetops for nearby thrush.

Charredstar set his own prey beside Copperear's squirrel. "You go ahead, I'll wait here and watch the prey so that we don't have to bury it." Charredstar was not only thinking about getting their paws dirty, that he surely didn't mind as he had the strange tendency to roll in the dirt. Instead, he was thinking about Copperear- Charredstar didn't want to walk into camp with a huge piece of prey, without Copperear having had the chance to catch an equal amount of meat, or more. He sat and nodded to Copperear, thinking.

Copperear nodded. "Sure." He lest him near the tree and walked into a spawn of intertwining vines and tree branches. Peering around, he noticed an easily seen white rabbit. It was as much as half his size, nibbling away at a nearby plant, completely lost in it's appetite. However, it's eyes still looked around every minute, thoroughly analyzing no intruders. Copperear crouched, knowing this catch wouldn't be easy. Hmmm.... I can use that old technique... He thought to himself. Leaping on a tree just on top of the rabbit, he focused on it's tail. So that if it tried to run, he could already grips his claws onto the tail and kill it with a bite. He focused for a minute, then jumped from the tree, aiming straight down at the rabbit, He looked like a world class professional swimmer, diving straight down into the water with a focused gaze and concentrated, firm muscles. The rabbit started to dash and just as he planned, he landed straight on it's tail, managing to hook a claw into it. It dashed madly, and he trailed behind it, claw still hooked. He kept the balance on his other leg and lunged forward, claw still hooked, biting onto it's neck. It still scurried, going a bit slower. He was now on the far left of CharredStar, going full speed. He bit deeper, and the rabbit slowed, and finally stopped as the blood leaked around it. Some blood got splattered onto Copperear's muzzle, but he simply just licked it off and grabbed the rabbit by the neck. Trotting back, he dropped the rabbit on his squirrel. "Pheww!" He glanced at CharredStar, a smile cracked on his still light red muzzle.

Charredstar stood up when Copperear made the kill. "Nice work, Copperear. Now... Let's pay our respects and thank StarClan.." Charredstar never liked killing prey, he didn't get a kick out of hunting like some others did. To him it was sad, how helpless the prey animals were, but that never stopped him from hunting for his Clan. It was either them or the rabbit... Charredstar's choice was obvious. He bent down over the prey and silently thanked StarClan for the meal. "That's a nice sized rabbit, we should take all of the prey back to camp. We have enough." Charredstar twitched his whiskers and headed off to pick up his own prey, the hawk now dangling from his jaws. He waited for Copperear to finish up before he turned in the direction of the heart of BoulderClan territory.

Copperear nodded. "Thanks." He bent his head, and thought deep in his heart and mind, thanking Starclan for the wonderful prey they allowed him to catch. He opened his eyes and trotted back to his Rabbit and Squirrel. Picking them both up by the neck, he looked towards CharredStar. "Well, I think it's time to go!". He trotted belong side him and started to pad, the rabbit and squirrel hanging from his jaws.

Charredstar nodded to Copperear and took up his hawk. He padded towards the camp. (Meet you there bro :3)
