The Gathering: 12/29/12

Ashstar trotted onto the island, the cats she had chosen to go trailing closely behind. Coming upon the area where the clans met, she had discovered that they were the first to come. Padding over to the tree where the leaders made their announcements, she jumps up in the tree and sits on one of the branches.

Sparrow followed her leader then broke away from the group, glaring at Pushednose with a dark expression. She stuck her nose in the air and padded away.

He nosed his way through and into the island floor. "Mmm always have loved Gatherings" Pushednose found a patch of clovers and rolled in them till he smelled of clovers. "Oh Sparrowflight would you come here for a second?"

She glanced left then right, not sure if she wanted to oblige. She padded closer to him, her eyes still narrowed.

"Would you care to sit with me?" He said politely "There are not many cats here yet other than our own clan and I would like to have company." Pushednose smoothly weeding out reasons for her to say no. "Of course I understand if you say no. I could just go chat with Ashstar for a bit then." He fought back a smile.

Sparrow glared at him then looked at her leader. "Youre just trying to get me into trouble." She muttered and sat down next to him.

The sharp intake of breath showed his disgust that she would think such a thing "I wouldn't try to do something like that. I merely want to talk to you." Pushednose let his ears drop slightly and his tail swooshed back a forth once and twice. "I am sorry if you feel that way Sparrowflight" Only the way he said her name would give a way any hint of the hatred he felt for the cat next to him. Or at least what she symbolized in his mind.

She hissed quietly so no one would overhear it, "I see no reason why you would want to talk to me. I surely do not want to share tongues with someone like you." Every time she referred to him it came out angrier and angrier.

BlizzardPelt walks onto the Island, seeing Ashstar and other cats already there. "Hi guys.." he says quietly as he sits down, not very close to the other cats, since he didn't know them too well.

Sparrows eyes lit up the minute she saw him. "Hey uh, Blizzardpelt." She jumped up to go talk to him, happy to have ANYONE to talk to other than Pushednose.

"Hmm talk to you later Sparrowflight." He hissed right before she got out of earshot.

She turned and gave him the scariest glare she could muster over her shoulder before turning her attention to Blizzard.

"H-Hi.. Um.. Sparrow, right?" BlizzardPelt says nervously, as he becomes very shy around any new cats.

Pushednose smirked and trotted over to the base of the High Tree where the deputy would normally sit and looked up to Ashstar. "I just wanted to say thank you for picking me to come along. I know that sounds silly but I have been feeling a bit outcasted lately." He "involuntarily" glanced at Sparrowflight. "Anyway that's all I wanted to say." He bowed his head and turned to go.

She chuckled quietly, "No need to thank me." Ashstar blinked at her clanmates, wondering where the other clans were.

Pushednose Wandered back to his clover patch as a gust of wind picked up and carried his clover scent around. "Just call me Cloverwind" He chuckled

She nodded and smiled, tucking her paws neatly beneath herself. "How are you? I always love coming to gatherings. You know, get to see cats from other clans."

"Yeah, pretty nice," BlizzardPelt says, with a smile. He shuffles his paws and twitches his white tail, looking at Sparrow.

She laughed quietly. "Loosen up Blizzardpelt, gatherings are meant to be fun. And well, serious of course." She directed a glance at her leader

Pushednose got up silently and walked silently over to the two cats. "Oh yes. I agree Sparrowflight. And It seems StarClan smiles on us to night too." He settled himself down. "Always a good sign don't you say Blizzardpelt?"

Sparrow stared at Pushednose for a long time, complete dislike flashing in her eyes. "Yes, wouldnt you agree, Blizzardpelt?"

"Uh.. Yeah." he says, and rearranges himself. I really should loosen up, like Sparrow said.. he thinks to himself. He smiles at Spparow and then at Pushednose.

PUshednose yawned and stood "I will be right back my friends" He said as he wandered off

Sparrow snorted as he left, glad he was gone. "I wonder when the other clans are gonna show." She blinked and looked at Bliz. "The other clans are usually really nice."

"Yeah, I was wondering that myself." Blizzardpelt says as he looks around, half expecting cats from other clans to come out.
